That Girl with the Boobs and All
Kirihara thinks that Yanagi-sempai is special, because despite all the harsh training, Yanagi-sempai secretly treats him to burgers after school when Yukimura-buchou and Sanada-fukubuchou aren't around. Yanagi-sempai also helps him with his homework without any conditions, unlike Marui-sempai who always asks for candy back. Or Niou-sempai who always asks for that new video game. Or Yagyuu-sempai who always asks that he perfect his next exam or else. Or Jackal-sempai who always asks him -- always exasperatedly -- to please stop hitting the other second years next time, Akaya.
Yanagi-sempai doesn't ask for anything in return and Kirihara thinks that Yanagi-sempai is awesome and cool and all that and maybe, just maybe, Kirihara even loves him because Yanagi-sempai may be harsh and precise during training, but Yanagi-sempai always helps him and spoils him and makes fun of Sanada's hat hair with him.
But of course, Kirihara will never tell him that because although Kirihara is an admittedly shameless ass with no humility whatsoever, he knows his limits somehow and wishes Yanagi-sempai a quiet girl with big boobs, but because Kirihara is an admittedly shameless ass with no humility whatsoever, Kirihara decides to tell Yanagi-sempai that. The quiet girl with big boobs bit, not the I-think-I'm-in-love-with-you bit.
"Yanagi-sempai, I think that quiet girl with big boobs we saw in the candy store last Thursday would be good for you," Kirihara says, one fine day and in between bites of his cheeseburger (no pickles, of course. All of the pickles on his cheeseburger now rested safely between the patties of Yanagi-sempai's cheeseburger.).
Yanagi-sempai can only raise one tentative eyebrow and utter a single syllable. "Why?"
Kirihara swallows, before shrugging matter-of-factly. "Because. She has big boobs."
Yanagi-sempai is amused. "Akaya, I don't like 'big boobs'."
Kirihara chokes on his burger. "But WHY?"
Yanagi-sempai chuckles, not minding the bits and pieces of half-chewed patties spewed on the table. "Why not?"
Kirihara is dumbfounded. "'Cause. They're big boobs."
Yanagi-sempai briefly wonders just what his kohai thinks of him that he's coming out as someone who likes big boobs. "What is this about, Akaya?"
Kirihara shrugs. "I just thought she was cute, s'all."
"You like her?"
"NO. Girls have cooties. I just thought she was cute for Yanagi-sempai."
Yanagi-sempai smiles, still very amused. "Thank you for the thought."
Kirihara doesn't give up. "What about that girl with the pink clips from Fudomine? She's flat-chested."
Yanagi-sempai's eyes roam the fast food joint subtly, just in case there were any Fudomine students there. He heard from the other second years that Momoshiro and Echizen from Seigaku loitered around these areas frequently, and sometimes came with Kamio and Shinji from Fudomine, bringing along the noise and chaos with them.
The coast is clear today, though it bothers Yanagi-sempai that Kirihara notices girls' boobs. It bothers him more than Kirihara notices Tachibana's little sister.
"I have no interest in her, Akaya. What brought this sudden interest with girls and their, well, assets?"
Kirihara's nose scrunches up. "Ew, no! I'm not interested in boobs!"
Yanagi-sempai stops eating. Kirihara continues on about girls and their boobs like that girl from Seigaku with the long pigtails (also flat-chested) -- completely oblivious that he had just admitted to his sempai that he was gay with that one exclamation.
Yanagi-sempai wisely stops Kirihara when the boy starts to venture into the dark side -- talking about the coconuts of Fuji's older sister. "I'm not interested in boobs either, Akaya, though I do appreciate the thought."
Kirihara stops eating, and looks confused for a few moments. Yanagi-sempai is a patient sempai so he waits. Kirihara opens his mouth, before closing it. Then he scrunches his nose up again. "You don't like boobs, sempai?"
"Well," Yanagi-sempai hides his smile behind his burger. "If you grew boobs, Akaya, then I suppose I can reconsider."
Kirihara turns a pretty shade of red and Yanagi-sempai turns his attention back to his food because both of them know that Kirihara is lying when the boy exclaims that I'M NOT GAY, YOU KNOW even though Yanagi-sempai said nothing of the sort which he soon realizes a bit horrifiedly at Yanagi-sempai's grin.
Kirihara's ego is bruised, Yanagi-sempai knows, but he finds himself unable to care as Kirihara grumbles one last time before slumping in his seat and devouring his cheeseburger angrily.
Yanagi-sempai likes the color of Kirihara's ears when it's red like that the most.
