Strange Pattern

There's a "Jim" in each of my current favorite fandoms.

Most obviously, Star Trek, with Jim Kirk. There's Jim Moriarty from Sherlock, and finally there's Jim Ellison from The Sentinel.* Is Jim/James a popular name, or what? Then there's the issue of pairings. K/S can be seen as Jim/Spock, or J/S (I know that looks really weird, but bear with me);
