Wow That is all I can say seriously. This was so perfect. Though I'm not familar with the books this is totally how I envisioned Draco and Luna's relationship to be like. That silent understanding that surpasses all definition. How Luna knows more about him than Draco even knows about himself.
I loved that he tries to fight her to resist the truth but in the end realizes that this is where he belongs. That he no longer has to face the world alone.
This was so beautifully done. I really do hope that you will continue to explore this pairing and their friendship in the future ♥
Thank you very much! I was trying to write a story where Draco starts to fall for Luna, because I wondered if he could do it, but instead I got this, which I think is more realistic, so I like it a lot.
I think at this point, afer being harrassed daily, Draco was really desperate for any kind of kindness from anyone, and Luna is just the person to see past someone's actions and attitudes and see what's really underneath. That's the only way I can understand this pairing working. :)
I'm really glad you liked it! If I write anything else, I will definitely post a notice of it in the community. :D
I really loved how this turned out. To be honest as much as I love this pairing I think it is their friendship that really fascinates me. How they both are able to meet in the middled, how they can relate to each other. I think you did an amazing job of showing their struggles and the unspoken support found in each others company without straying from their personalities.
That was quite good - I enjoyed it a lot. I especially liked how you brought in the issues of the other students. Your Luna & Draco are very well written also - I can just see Luna finally breaking after all the pressure everyone puts her under. I hope you write some more!!
Thank you! I wanted to show how everyone is suffering after the war, not just Luna and Draco, and the different ways that everyone copes. :) I'm glad you liked it.
If I do write more, I'll definitely post it to the community!
askfjadlkfj This is amazing. This is exactly how I picture Draco - broken and needy, but hiding it all under carefully constructed masks that very few can see through. ♥♥ Well, you know that I didn't quite understand how Draco/Luna worked, but this just makes so much sense. I can totally see this happening in canon. And I admit I got a little teary eyed when you mentioned Dennis taking pictures for Colin; all the post-war brokenness was just perfect, and I really like how you branched out and showed how it was affecting everyone, rather than just two people.
Thanks so much! I think our stories are very similar, even though their subjects and formats are different, and that's why I liked yours a lot. I think we understand this pairing the same way. Most of the D/L stories I've found show Draco and Luna already together without any hint of why they are. And yours shows why in a very unique way. :)
I got the image of Luna crouching by the lake, listening to people make fun of her, in my head and I had to write it, even though I didn't know what was going to come after. I thought it'd be neat to show how everyone else is suffering because of the war, even after the war was over.
