Sorry, currently writing in bits. This semester's work heavy and I've joined a chorus, so not a whole lot of time. I should probably mention this is very AU.
He throws the door open with a bang. There is a dull thud as something hits the wall. It's a corpse....no, wait...the body lets out a groan. He kneels beside the man. He looks familiar. There are two brown antennas at the top of his head and his clothes look old-fashioned. There is also, what looks like a piece of bone sticking out of his side. Looking closer, it's a knife with a stark white handle. It looks too clean. The man is still bleeding, albeit a little slowly. He turns his pockets inside out. No phone.
He starts to head back inside, when there's the sound of running, stumbling footsteps. The unshaven detective looks incredibly surprised to see him.
"He's still alive! You need to call an ambulance. I can't find my phone."
The detective looks at him strangely, but does so.
"It'll be here in fifteen minutes pal." He says hanging up. He eyes him for a minute then take a pair of handcuffs out of his pocket.
"I'm arresting you for attempted murder, pal." He cuffs him.

He stares the man sitting in front of him.
Miles Edgeworth, his mind whispers to him. Some things are starting to come back now. He remembers the man being an friend-enemy of his, but here he is glaring at him with the specific glare he uses for criminals.
"I suppose you're prosecuting then?" He blurts out and the look changes. It's the type of look that conveys an entire paragraph in a deepening of the frown and the raising of an eyebrow.
"Well, at least the insanity plea has a chance. I'm your defense attorney Wright."
He really should be feeling more surprised.
"Who put you up to this?" He hesitates, but thinks back to the badge he found in what seems to be his apartment. "I didn't think anyone would be willing to defend me."
The glare deepens. His guess seems to be correct.
"As callous as you are in court, I don't think even you would attempt to murder your own assistant."
