Did Iron Man 2 have different release dates for the UK & US? I only ask because it came out here last weekend but my flist are only just talking about it now.

I saw it and it was good. Stayed til end of credits and had a geeky joy moment.

Know what I'm doing with my free Showcase ticket now. *g* Next week or the week after anyway (won't let me use it in the first couple of weeks a film is released).

I guess you must have gotten it before we did because it opened in the US today.

Really? Damn, wish I'd known sooner, I'd have been bragging about seeing it on Wednesday! XD

They did. Both Nightmare on Elm Street and Iron Man 2 was released in Europe and Australia last week. "Nightmare" beat out "Iron Man 2" overall.

Don't know about the US, but in Greece it's been out for more than a week now, since the 29th of April.

I'm watching it today. YAY! Though I won't be able to stay till the end of credits and have a geeky joy moment like yours. ah well. There's always the dvd. :P

Hope you enjoy as much as I did :)

Wow, it makes a nice change for us poor slobs in Europe to get a big summer blockbuster first. (And to be honest, it is a supremely geeky moment at the end of the credits, my sister was not happy about me making her wait through them!)

Your sister *should* appreciate that these things have to be done. I'm always the last to leave the cinema... mind you, when I went to see the first Iron Man film I was the only person in the cinema apart from the staff anyway as I went for an early morning screening in the last week it was on during term time.

Yes - I'm quite shocked we actually got a film before the US did! (Lord of the Rings doesn't count, as it was only because of the Earth's rotation that we watched it first :p)

yeah the friends I'm watching it with, while they like Iron Man, wouldn't indulge me into staying till the end of credits. :P
I'm itching to ask you to confirm my suspicions about the hidden scene, but I don't wanna spoil it for anyone else. :P
