I'm glad that works, it felt like a very 'Firefly' way of doing things, and also a Methos kind of sneaky *grin*. It's weird, but when I started this fic, I had intended a very different ending for this part - with River carted off in chains - but when I got to it, it just felt wrong.

and a very nice update too. I loved the Jayne comments throughout - I can't help but giggle, he'd probably kill me if he knew, but his comments always made me laugh. :-P
and I loved the Methos sneakiness. though I must say, his plan? ouch.

Thank you very much, reaching a resolution was actually the hardest part for me, endings are something I always struggle with. Which is probably why I've only ever finished two of my series! So I'm really glad that it feels like a resolution, for now. It's not over with the Operative just yet, and Richie has a score to settle with him sooner or later, but I think the next section of this will just be the crew out in the Black, having some adventures and hopefully bonding.
Jayne always made me laugh too ;-)
