Kamikaze Karaoke

So, I went on my first karaoke run Friday night, in Raleigh in a place called 'Playmakers'. It was packed, and I was SO terrified. There was this really great guy who DJ'd the songs and Emceed in between. You had to sign up to be able to sing, and let me tell you, the list fills quickly

Damn I should have stayed until 1230! I hate I missed your 'winning' performance. I was so surprised Playmakers was such a packed place. I always thought it was dead judging by the outside but I was wrong. "At Last" is such a fantastic song, and I'd love to hear you knock it outta the ballpark. So good to see you! xoV

And yes, I wish you had stayed. I LOVED that you came for awhile. Must go there often, and Curto was bummed to have missed you...

I am so very addicted to karaoke as well. And yeah, you gotta choose the right song. My first time I blew everyone away with Garbage's "I'm Only Happy When It Rains" and totally bombed "Here With Me" by Dido. Hee

Go you! Yay! :::applause::: I hate that I had to miss it this time, but I was running on empty when I got out of work on Friday. If I'm in town next time I'll be there. Can't wait to see you do "At Last."

Some day we should make a group outting for this :) I don't think I'll make it to the stage myself though, I'm much more of a "sing in the car" kinda girl!

Go you! I've only done karaoke once, in a crappy little bar where there were barely a dozen people, but I really enjoyed it. I imagine it will be much more fun when I can drink and not be quite so sober. :-) I'll have to come to Raleigh so we can go out together sometime.
