*Chamber music concert tonight at St Martin in the Fields-- unexpectedly sexy. First of all, I decided to go after going in the church the other day and OMGLUV. Not always a big fan of Baroque architecture, but this is just so light and perfect and full of delicate roundnesses. Oh, not oboe, clarinet...? Someone was playing the Mozart clarinet concerto in the Tube last night- it sounded very good.

So, the pope just wasn't big enough for England, eh?

I wonder how far away York would be from Rome in 300 AD in contemporary distance? Would it be like being from Peru? From Melanesia?

Well, unless your plane gets hit by lightning, you can get to Peru in a day...

And yes, the Pope made the news. In fact, the other big news was how to juggle the scheduling of the wedding vs. the funeral.

OMGWTFYORK

If I could move to Britain,a nd get a good job there, York is the city I would want to live in. It has a culture an dhistory all it's own, and there is that great Minster, right there. God, I love York. I love York. I love York.

I was musing the other day about the cost of food, and lexin spoke about the time she spent the equivalent of $7 for a sandwich. No tea, no coffee, no soup: just the sandwich, and it was seven bucks. Ouch.

Theatre in Britain=TEH BESTEST.
