cubby66 and
mulberry_fields, I wandered up to Target, which is not what I want it to be. Yes, Target is dumber about houseware/hardware/tool matters than they should be. It never even dawned on me to look for paint there. Are you painting your palazzo?

Painting the palazzo-hee. I want to paint the IKEA china hutch thing, and I want to paint the paintable parts of the bathroom, starting with the medicine chest/cupboard thingy. V. v. yugly.

This mythical Bronx Target, how do mere Manhattanites reach it? The one in Queens is a schlep. If I could just ride the 1/9 train to Target, I would be a happy girl.
BTW, if you ride the 1/9 in the other direction, KMart on 34th has a decent paint section.

The Riverdale Target is *right on* the 1/9. 225th St. The train is elevated--you can't miss it. There's one in Blyn also.

The Democratic Party and its lameness are ruining my life.
Why don't I like Alias? Why, instead, am I now addicted to Law & Order: SVU?

Law and Order of any kind gives me hives, though I can certainly see not liking Alias.
There are some fine Grilled Central Asian Meats available in SF. I remember a little hole-in-the-wall Kashmiri (I think) place that the cab drivers went to, where they had a wood fire that they accessed through holes in the counter to char stuff--yummy.
