Yeah, I wasn't crazy about this episode either. Not only did I not like that storyline, but the show just wasn't holding my attention at all. I kept getting distracted and forgetting I was watching the show, and then I'd come back and be all, "Oh, great, now there's a psycho fan," and tune it back out.
Next week's looked really good from the preview, though. It at least looked like it was going to be more interesting than this one.
From what I could tell, next week Echo's going to be in the middle of another high-pressure mission with like, guns and stuff, and her imprint's somehow going to be remotely wiped in the middle of it, so Boyd's going to have to guide helpless child tabula rasa Echo through that somehow.
I don't know, I just felt they were sort-of plot stuff and not twisty enough to be twists. And the Audra thing REALLY annoyed me too. It was just a wimpy, strange episode.
I do hope next week's better. Perhaps all odd numbered epiosdes will be shite? Like with Star Trek films? ;-)
I liked it fine. I mean, it wasn't as good as last week's, but it was better than the pilot.
I didn't think that the story was a direct shot at the fanbase. Incorporating the good things about fandom could've been nice, but I don't think it'd work its way easily into the plot. The focus didn't seem so much on crazy fans so much as how people in general view celebrities (the parallels between celebrities and actives were a bit heavy-handed, though). But that's just me. *shrugs*
But, yeah, Dollhouse isn't great so far. It's pretty good, but not AMAZING. I still think it would've worked better as a movie or a miniseries.

Do you know how many episodes they have this season? Is it 12, like Dexter?

Secondly! What twists? Did I blink and miss something?
