Awww! This was awesome and I loved it. I can definitely see Robin throwing herself into one night stands while Barney dates. And yay, she proposed! And I'm glad that Barney's going away with her.

Great fic!

Yes, I HAD to have Robin propose! It just seemed right somehow that it wouldn't be traditional.

Ahhhhhhh! Oh my goodness, you hit pretty much all of the things that I really, really want to happen-- Barney growing up and actually dating people, Robin struggling with her feelings, their friendship growing even stronger, Robin getting amazing career opportunities, mutual pursual, Robin proposing, planning the wedding but it still being a crazy moment.... AWESOME work, IO. This is the kind of stuff that makes you the standard. ♥

Oh yes, this is exactly what I want to happen too! I always thought that Barney and Robin might get to the exact point that me and Mezz got to in the Roleplay, but that Canon Barney might man up and actually take the next step when she left New York. It's a way to heal my poor shipper heart!

Well first of all, I have to say that I was so excited to see the elationship icon!! Oh it's been too long! I must admit that at first I was like, "is this a roleplay post?" Tee hee.

I cannot even tell you how much I love this fic. I mean I really, really, really love this fic.

Like this?
And she still lies awake in strange places, in uncomfortable beds, with unfamiliar food settling in her stomach and she still thinks of him.

It's like you just described everything about Robin.

And this?
“Then don’t,” Ted says, pushing her cellphone into her palm.

I mean, THAT'S TED.

And just-- this is how it should be, if they get married. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE.

Oh god, it's TOTALLY a roleplay post! If Barney and Robin get married, I really want it to be because she's going to go and live abroad, and because (unlike lame Roleplay Barney) canon Barney mans up and steps up and they live happily and awesomely ever after. :-)

Ahhh, this is perfection. Seriously, I need this to happen. It had everything I want - Barney growing up, he and Robin being best friends, Robin getting to travel and pursue her dream jobs, Ted saying the exact thing Robin needs to hear, Robin proposing, just all of it! But poor Ted, not only is Robin leaving him, now Barney is, too! That would also explain some of his nervousness - not just that Barney is getting married before him, to Robin of all people, but that they're not even living in New York anymore.

And Barney is like the perfect person to be able to travel with Robin. I always assume he has some sort of contingency plan in place in case Altrucell ever came after him, so I figure he has a bunch of money lying around somewhere. He could probably retire or be some kind of "consultant" and it wouldn't matter where he worked.

But yeah, this story fills me with happiness!

Yes, this is basically my wish list for Barney and Robin! And I love the idea of him going into consultancy - which you can do from anywhere that has an internet connection these days! This fic could be the first of a bunch of established relationship fics from me! There's so much you can do with happy Barney/Robin.
