Last night, when the Albuquerque roads were so icy everyone was being urged to stay home unless it was an emergency (and judging from the traffic on Central, which was clear, celebrating New Year's Eve is an emergency) Duke McMullen called me and invited me to his and Tanley's house for a New Year's Eve supper she had cooked. Cool title :-) For me, '06 has been a fantastic year and still I am so very glad that '07 is here :-) But, uh, you sure you want to put those boots on freecycle? With a note that they are not waterproof ? My solution to the wetness outside is to walk in the road, on the lefhand side, facing traffic so that I can step out of the way when a car approaches. Traffic is very light here, specially in the morning when I go out to get the paper so that helps :-)

That's how I got up to the corner drugstore, walking on the street facing traffic. Alas, the intersections were totally full of slush when I went up.

I finally did a quick & dirty budget so I could see where the money was going. Now I know how much I have for groceries, cat food, books, etc every month and I WILL stay within that!
