Megan Monday just keeps going and going
no comics. But oh man, do I have drawings.
okay, trying to figure out how to post these.... since they look best as .tiffs, I'm putting them only on devart, and linking to there...but I'll write a bunch of stuff here so there's a point to reading this post, haha. also there's some sketches/group comic rambling at the end.

you know what-go to the page for my pokemon-related ramblings. suffice to say: I have been playing pokemon platinum and it is so, so fun to draw a cheesy trainer picture. the end.
as for the technical drawing stuff: I've been trying stuff with no lines recently? though I am concerned they might look either unfinished or...I dunno. weird. I'm gonna try to do something different the next time I color. For these pictures it works okay...this one is better since it's in bright colors ripped from video game sprites. and the one below works 'cus it's more like cel shading.
here's the other drawing I'm not as keen on, but I think turned out alright:

it's not that I think it's bad or anything, it's just not how I thought it would look, and, I don't know. I like working without lines, but at the same time I want to do something softer. Or something with like, physical materials. I think it's because it came out all shiney and anime-esque, and the original sketch on paper was really soft. hmm.
but I do like making the shapes appear like magic with the paintbucket tool. it reminds me of colorforms.
anyway. in the vein of the big project: I am thinking still. I was talking in my last blog entry about how I used to think about stories with magical things in them all the time, and now I don't really anymore, not in the same way. So this is like a throwback for me, only harder, haha.
but I have this drawing of a little vampire boy and his pet rabbit?
which I was just gonna color, btu ran out of time/energy...and I like him.
(I watched all of True Blood over the last 2 weeks and while it ranges from 'cheesy love story' to 'tara is awesome' to 'epic moments!' to 'you know, you could have edited this scene out and lost nothing but the HBO-mature-rating', it did make me think about vampires more than usual, so. Also I want the people from Being Human (it's on the BBC and awesome) to live in this world for a bit because it would be interesting. In fact, the whole "everyone knowing about vampires alternate universe and how we would respond" thing is one of the most interesting parts.)
ANYWAY
I think this little guy may struggle with wanting to eat his pets, and thus needs a magic device to help him.

yeah, I think it's lame too. >:(
anyway, have a monster/werewolf...girl.
she has big claws but still likes frilly dresses. because I do.
uhhh yeah. need to brainstorm.
[edit] oh, so I'm trying to have thumbs done by next week.....uuuuh. Me & Jennie were gonna meet up at the library on wednesday the...22nd? how does that work for you guys?
