Global Nomad--does that sometimes translate as Army Brat? Or in your case, is it that your parents are from somewhere else and you weren't raised in that culture? I feel like we've kinda talked about this before...or maybe that was your awesomely erratic education. :-)
Army Brats are a kind of Global Nomad, especially if they've spent time overseas. [Robin McKinley! Kindred spirits!]
I've posted about this phenomenon before, actually.
I'd love it if you told me about: strangling violin players (No! Not Bell!) ;p, irish, the Holy Grail (what about them?), dancing like white girls, ogling fictional characters, how you can stand "looking" at chocolate, and capslocking.
You must use an Irish quotation that angsts about intellectual matters and capslock, or you'll be disqualified for the prize. ;)
Oh, in my case my dad moved to Japan with engineering work. He kind of asked about it, because he'd been interested in Japan and the parent company was Japanese. So we spent four years there. Basically all my significant teenage years (13-17) which wasn't the greatest time to be stared at more than most self-conscious adolescents even THINK they're being.
