I read Outlander yesterday.

I have to admit I resisted this book, mostly because Jamie seemed implausible to me as a romantic hero. He was too perfect and more like a woman's fantasy than a man. That feeling crystalized for me at their wedding, when as one of the three conditions for going through with it, he insists Claire have a pretty wedding dress. I don't know a single man who would think of that.
