I gave a good friend a copy of Women Who Run with the Wolves to read today, so that has it's themes on my mind.

Other gals have been posting about self-image and redeeming moments of seeing past baggage, which has fed into my own reflection about how I feel about myself now as opposed to even a couple of years ago.

I wrote this out in my new Commonplace Book today; I had another poem I planned to copy first, but then this seemed a better one to start with.

To change direction abruptly...
I was searching for a certain Cupid and Psyche poem that was the exact retelling I wanted to write, and made me despair of ever being a writer of any worth, but found this instead.
