Thank you, thank you! I am not going to not post because it will "show them all" if we are gone for a day. Just like "don't get gas on Friday". You have to fill up the next day so you aren't doing anything but giving them a slow day.
Exactly! And, as I knew it would, my flist pretty much exploded at midnight GMT because people just couldn't wait to get back on here and start posting and commenting. I was actually going to spam my LJ on Friday, but got busy packing and couldn't. Ah well.
You do realize that since you didn't make it out to L.A. to see me before I go, you're just going to have to make the trip to Florida, right? *g*
Most of my flist didn't boycott. The ones that did are on their soapbox how they are not responding to any posts or comments from that day because it was a slap in their faces. *shrugs* Whatever.
:( I'm going to be in San Diego!! but you are right, now I have to plan a trip to come see you!!!
You know already how I agree. In fact, did you see the post I made, linking to someone's post where it gives all SORTS OF FUN info on IJ, and how *maybe*, it isn't all it's cracked up to be...? VERY interesting read, very, very. Here be linkage. It's almost funny.
Oh, I saw that post and had to laugh over it. It's almost word for word the same as LJ's TOS, which makes it pretty standard for all the blogging sites out there based on LJ. Including GreatestJournal, UJournal, etc. And, y'know, let people flock en masse to IJ. It'll reach a point there where the current owner sells out to corporate business and changes will be made in the interest of business and people will be whinging about that just like they are now about LJ.
I'm just rather amused at the whole "We won't post for 24 hours, that'll show 'em!" that was chosen for a religious holiday, making it a slow posting day already, and my flist pretty much exploded at midnight GMT, proving that people just couldn't wait to get back to LJ and start posting and commenting. Hell, one person actually posted at exactly 1 minute after the deadline. *shakes head*
Lol, yup. They proved HOW MUCH THEY NEEDED LJ in doing that. Why couldn't they say "No Posting Weekend"? Nope. A day, and the time frame got all sorts of fugged up. Oh SIGH.
