To not bury the lede: he is now out of the hospital and will not have any permanent physical or mental effects. However, I can safely say that, emotionally ( Read more... )

Oh my goodness. How scary. I really hope chris is ok and that you are both feeling confident about his treatment??

Thanks for you concern.

The doctors placed no restrictions on him, and he will need no therapy. They seem confident, but we can't help but wonder if it will happen again (since it was unexplained). That's why we have upended our schedules to avoid having him driving for awhile. It's rough.

First, hi again! It's been years..
Second, omg! I'm glad he was able to pull over safely to call for help and that things seem okay! Kudos to Kyu for helping his Daddy like that!

Why, hello. I meant to tell you the other day that your kids are so cute. I was surprised how they all look so different!

And yes: Kyu is indeed a cool-headed little dude.

I teared up when I read your status on facebook with the update about Chris (and again reading this). I hadn't seen the first post about the stroke until after I saw the second one and I was shocked and confused. We may not know each other in real life, but you're a long-time livejournal friend whose life I have read about for years through the filter of your hilarious writing style, and I feel like I know you at least a little bit. Over the years I've grown fond of you and I admire (and, okay, envy a little) your gorgeous and ridiculously intelligent and talented little family and your sweet, cozy, organized lifestyle focused on family, friends, learning, exploring and always bettering yourselves and your situation while staying true to yourselves and your beliefs. I don't mean to blab on about me, me, me and how _I_ feel but I thought you should know that I truly care about you and your family and I'm always rooting for you. I'm so relieved that Chris is going to make a full recovery and I continue to wish the best for all of you.
