Here's another tutorial which I made using Adobe Photoshop 7.0 but it should be transferable to other softwares. This tutorial uses no curves and is very easy. :)

We're going from:

001 Crop your image and so on. Duplicate your base and set the mode to SCREEN. How many times you have screen depends on your image. I just screened once.

002 Add a new layer and fill it with #53BBE1 and set the layer mode to SATURATION - 60%.

003 Add a new layer and fill it with #042D4A and set the layer mode to EXCLUSION.

to get

004 Add a new layer and fill it with #F5C88D and set the layer mode to MULTIPLY.

to get

005 Add a new layer and fill it with #FF99CC and set the layer mode to SOFLIGHT.

to get

006 Add a new layer and fill it with #66CC99 and set the layer mode to SOFTLIGHT.

to get

007 Add a new layer and fill it with #2A88C4 and set the layer mode to COLOUR BURN.

to get

008 Duplicate your base and move it right on top. Set it to SCREEN.

009 Duplicate your base and move it right on top and this time, set it to SOFTLIGHT.

And there you have it! :)
