Thank you for this. I LOVED reading about your whole creative endeavour with the book binding. Hope it all works out - and the wonky bits may just turn out to be the best bits.

All the stuff I make has wonky bits. That used to irk me, but now I have accepted that it's just how I am. I am not cut out for robotic perfection, and anyway you are right - the wonky bits are what make it interesting.
I'm off to make another wonky book now - one that I can put all my ideas for books in!
