Love Chaucer - (in nice translation of course) - plenty of gay allusions there as well as third eyes.
Didn't have to study him until university (although had read about his private life because he married Phillipa Roet with the Sywnford connection)
Now my children watch A Knight's Tale incessantly and there is Paul Bettany playing Chaucer with a bare bum

I loved Paul Bettany's take on Chaucer - he made him such an engaging character, and incidentally it's a very nice bare bum...

Lovely - he's priceless and the version with all the deleted scenes added is even better
