Mold in front loader washer

We have a Maytag front load washer that has mold on the rubber gasket seal. Any suggestions on cleaning it? And preventing mold in the future?

I'm not sure about removing it, but my front loader has never had mold because I don't close it all the way. I leave it just the littlest bit open and it can dry out between loads.

I try not to close it all the way, but our wash room doubles as a dark room for my husband, so he'll shut it. Admittedly, we've also left a load in overnight a time or two.
