The first readable version of “Charnel House” is ready to be sent out to my brave advanced readers. I didn't even have to bribe them or anything and they still agreed. Fools. Anyways, at 54,573 words it isn't so much a novel as it is a glorified novella. Oddly though, I'm OK with that ( Read more... )

If you want to read give me a couple of weeks to iron out the kinks. Unless my advanced readers really hate it... then it'll take longer to redo. ;)

Mike has a good point though about the page count...From a readers prospective we look more at how many pages the book is rather then the words.

You can very safely presume that 300-350 words per page is what you see in 95% of books on the shelf... so if you hit 70,000, it'd be 200-240 or so pages in a "real book."

Some restrictions apply, your mileage may vary, offer void in scenic Malazan, etc.
