Bradam Drabble

If Brad were someone else, he would give up. But he isn’t. For all his flippancy, Brad is like a bloodhound on the scent when a friend is in trouble and trying to hide it. And, truth be told, Adam wasn’t all that great at hiding things. Especially from Brad.

i think Adam's scared of what he'll find in himself if he's successful. the question is why he's afraid of it.

Brad would play detective so well

It's definitely interesting: The idea of Adam being scared of his one big break going down the shutter, or anything else causing the anxiety. Also, Brad-fics that aren't situated in the time when Adam and him were a couple are few and between, challenging to write but a joy to read!

I'm intrigued by the glimpse of Adam through Brad's eyes--loving yet unsentimental eyes. It's a fresh perspective. And I like the edge of conflict, Brad's understandable resentment of secondhand fame.

If it's calling your name, I say go after it, definitely. :)

Brad actually wrote one entry on his webpage where he talked about how weird it was to become suddenly famous through no doing of his own. It seems Adam is so loyal to his friends and his friends are so loyal to him--but still, the fame thing must put an odd strain on things. I'm very curious about that. Thanks for the encouragement to continue.
