I'm not stupid enough to risk having an asthma attack in this weather.

Considering that, it's surprising he's still being stubborn... Even for him.

It's him. Do you honestly expect anything less? He's so obnoxious and once he thinks he's right about something, his opinion will never change.

I'm not familiar with the exact procedure for removal, but:

Any out-of-the-ordinary abilities, that were originally suppressed, would be restored. Or so I've come to learn.

Well, that certainly makes sense. Is that the only thing the chips do? Suppress nonhuman abilities?

I believe so. Though, I've seen that they can also alter your state of mind... Malfunction, so to speak.

I'm uncertain how to remove these chips.

...It's relatively surprising that you don't want it removed though.

These chips prevent us from having our powers work.

But I don't have any powers.

[ Ahh, Honda-san, I keep worrying you! ]

I'm fine, Honda-san. Shigure is letting me wear some of his extra clothes until Ayame grows a brain. Which may never happen....

I'm glad. A-and, we have a few extra blankets now, thanks to Hatori-san. So if you're still feeling chilled, please don't hesitate...!

Really?

Ah, Honda-san, you don't need to worry quite so much. Everything will be all right.

That was a serious answer.

Keep it in longer than necessary, and it's bound to malfunction for a third iteration.

Then, what do you think the bigger risk is? Leaving it in?
