XD Thank you. Yes, He has given her permission to care, but lets her know where her boundaries are. The moment she steps outside of those boundaries, he slams her right back in to place. But Mamori isn't one to stay within her boundaries long. XD

If you were aiming to get me to hate Hiruma, if only a tiny bit, then you've definitely succeed. The Asshole-quality you gave him is actually a bit different from our usual Hiruma/Mamori moments, so it tasted delicious. :D

But there has to be a reason why he's treating Mamori badly, right? Like, is he pushing her away, sensing that she's getting top close or something?

XD LOL! No slapping is necessary! XD There is a definitely a reason he is pushing her away, and yes, this fic is dark. Not your typical HiruMamo here.

I wanted to see if I could bring out another aspect of the HiruMamo dynamic. I actually started to write this piece from Hiruma's POV, but it sounded waaaay too snarky. By changing it to Mamori's POV and playing up on her angst, I feel that I was able to succeed in bringing out that subtle asshole quality.

I want you to feel like he's a bit of a jerk in this, but not too much. Next update is coming soon. XD

Well, I like it. I usually don't like angsty fics 'cause I don't like sad things. However, it's not as if you're throwing everyone out of character while doing it, so I can make exceptions! :D *saves to her flashdrive*

(I'm working on two Distraction themes as we speak, one of which I'm using to test out my sex-writing skills (and to give everyone an idea of the sex style I prefer to write), so I hope I don't get anyone OOC either 'cause I do the hardcore, makes-me-feel-like-a-dirty-slut sort of sex style. ;-;)
