A waterfall of circumstances found me out of the house at 2 a.m. There aren't a lot of places to go in Seattle at 2 a.m. I decided I wanted to be away from the city for awhile. The idea of going to the coast was appealing, but I wasn't totally sure of the route, and was just a little bit too tired for that long a drive. Instead, I got on I-90 ( Read more... )

Today I went to Pike Place Market, and ran across a gentleman selling lovely stained-glass kaleidoscopes. The piece de resistance was a lovely, periscopic kaleidoscope in the shape of a dragonfly. The price is higher than prohibitive, of course... but he said he'd be there again Friday next, and if you're free to do so, I think you'd love to just see it.
