Rescued afternoon

But I needed to go out and pick up the dog's prescription no matter what, so after far too much dawdling, I got myself roused and out of the ( Read more... )

Looking at the garden makes me wistful since based on the dates of when it was started, I believe my great-grandfather would have likely gone there and perhaps known Mr. Kubota (my great-grandfather was "deeply rooted" ~ forgive the pun ~ in Japanese forestry.)

I think there must be a lesson lurking in there about how sometimes if you can manage to stick it out through the tough times, it will be ultimately rewarding in the end.

I wonder if there's any significance to damselfly spotting and moving? I've had it happen twice now where they appeared perched on my window for quite some time, right before an impending move. I decided in those moments to view it as a blessing ~ a sign things would be o.k.

I am glad the afternoon turned nice, after all. I am still hoping to make it to one of the socializing events. I will be at the last party, at the very least, dammit.

I hope that you are sleeping in on this Sunday morning (it appears to be a good morning for sleeping in, from here, and I wish I was able to).

I got up at 7:30, thanks to the dog. :| But it allowed me to take care of a few things.

I laughed: I thought "BUNNY BUTT" before I scrolled down to see your caption.

And I think pale yellow and plum look lovely together, fwiw.

I think we all just really want more reasons to use the phrase "BUNNY BUTT."

When I told K about the nail polish, he said, "It's a very springtime color," and that shade of yellow with purple makes me think of crocuses, so yeah.
