Last night, for the first time in several years, we had actual events we could go to for NYE instead of defaulting to sitting at home. But when the time came, we were both feeling rather under the weather, and thus, in one of those silly little ironies my life is always full of, we *chose* to sit at home this time. I just saw those movies (Well, 1.5 though I'm told the last one actually did finish but I was a bit okay a lot drunk at that point.) for the first time last night.

They are absolutely excellent.

It was the first time I've ever made something like this, and my hand sewing leaves a lot to be desired. That said, I wouldn't mind her putting up a picture or two of my effort.

It reminds me of when we went to C10 in Chicago and they had a pearl-knotting class. C was good enough to go with me and give it a try. At the end, he gave me the necklace he made, complete with random spaces, and uneven pearls... but I cherish it completely!

I'd love to see a photo :)
