Squish just attempted to launch himself through the office window at a crow sitting on the wires.

The presence of a pane of glass rather stymied this attempt.

The sound of his head meeting glass was very loud.

He seemed very confused about it all.

As amusing as I find that one, this wasn't even that sort of case. He bonked, stumbled back, and went, "Huh. So that's how that works." And promptly forgot about it and started chittering at the crow.

Squish, the feline goldfish.

Eh, kitties have hard heads. I learned that through experience--such as the time I DROPPED THE WATER DISH on Jageeda's head. ;)

The "and I laughed my ass off" is implied? ;)

I actually didn't, because everybody else was still asleep, and because I was surprised--this is the first time he's done this. Due to his eyesight not being ideal, he's usually much more cautious about taking flying leaps.

But yeah, it was certainly *worthy* of LMAO. ;)

Our first move with our first cat had an incident like that. I put her in the car then closed the door, can't remember why exactly, and she launched herself at the driver side window. It was pretty loud. She then ran around the car a few minutes. She did eventually calm down, but that was one heck of a trip. I have since gotten carriers for the cats and just listen to pathetic mews the whole time...

This is the first time this particular cat has done this. He has some issues with his eyesight (his depth perception isn't very good), so he's usually pretty cautious about just leaping at things. Apparently the excitement of the crow being so close overrode his caution.

Jageeda (the cat I used to talk about on a.g.f Back In The Day) did this sort of thing *constantly*, especially with the sliding glass doors we had at that apartment. In his case it didn't seem to be stupidity so much as a stubborn refusal to accept that glass existed.

Awww, poor Squish.

I can relate; I've had some really... um... *challenged* cats in the past. Fortunately for their sake, they usually just sat around looking happily dazed most of the time. The main one was deaf, which made him all the more out-of-it.

They *do* have hard heads. Frances used to really like playing with a wooden yo-yo. She occasionally got smacked in the face with it, but it never deterred her. Look momentarily stunned, shake it off, repeat.
