I went out a little while ago to clear off my car and make sure it was still in one piece and make sure it starts. (It is, and it does.) It took 10 minutes to even get to the point of being able to see the glass portions of the car and climb into it ( Read more... )

I know. I've never seen anything like this. After this experience, I think I could be persuaded to move to a warm locale, even though I hate hot weather, just so that I'd never have to deal with this again.

It's still novel to me but I really wish 1) there was shopping within easy walking distance, and 2) my boots didn't die in a pile of old rubber within minutes of me taking them off last week.
