Congratulations on your new mattress. In know the last time we had to go shopping for one it was some serious sticker-shock, but in the end it wound up being worth the monthly payments :|
Sleep well!

We've been talking about it for quite awhile, but it was always one of those "time not quite right" things, even as we both had more and more trouble sleeping. Finally, between the bribe from the government and the money my mother gave us for our anniversary, we figured it was time. We ended up paying less than I'd expected, but it was still a pretty dang hefty number.

Sleeping well has become the holy grail of my life. I'm almost afraid to hope for it.

Cloud 9, the store on Mercer (they're about to move the actual retail space into the Far Fetched building). While we were definitly being "sold to," it wasn't a high-pressure, "make the sale no matter what" thing; she was more concerned about us getting the right one than the most expensive one.

yay Kaga! Cats love to be UP HIGH.

I can just imagine how Squish reacted to the mattresses being on their side.

He hid under the couch, since we took the bed away and that's normally where he'd hide. He was especially traumatized by the delivery guys.

Earlier tonight he got up on the newly-assembled bed, with the canopy missing, and kept looking around like he didn't know where he was.

Sam did the same thing when we put the old mattress against the wall in the room across the hallway. She was in love with running along the edge. Its how we ended up with a cat tree in our bedroom. Hubby was worried she was upset when we took her mattress away and wanted her to have something high to play on. This was amazing for 2 reasons. We have never been fans of carpet covered cat trees. He is minimalist man and was willing to put the tree in our bedroom. He even picked it out! Yay for the new bed!

Obviously you have to keep the old mattress now, and tow it about the living room on it's side a couple of times a day. You must please your feline masters!

Sadly for our feline masters, the old mattress has already gone to its reward. (The delivery guys took the old one for us, hurrah for not having to deal with that ourselves.)

They took their revenge by deciding at the crack of dawn that the bedroom was a combination battledome/exploratorium, and spent well over an hour alternately beating the crap out of each other very loudly and playing with every single thing in the room that could make noise. We have no idea if the new mattress is working, because they woke us up at 5:30 when our alarms were set for two hours later. :|
