These are all great! I love the whole look of 3, the font fits so perfectly. 2 is also great, but I can't actually decide if what color scheme I prefer for that icon. The coloring looks great on both 2 and the alt ;)

Damn, I was looking forward to entering this challenge and now you've gone and depressed me. These are too damn good! I love the muted pink/grey colors on the 1st one and the text treatment. It's visible but blends well with the icon. The coloring and composition on the 2nd are great. The crop and texture are nice but the way the text follows the texture's curve is fantastic. It's gives the whole icon a cohesive look. Also, nice job on your font choice for the 3rd--it really fits the subject well.
