1. take your image and resize/crop it down to 100x100. like so

2. then you want to fill the next layer with this color
. set it to exclusion @ 100%.
3. fill the next layer with this color
. set it to color burn. i set it at 74% but it all depends on your picture.
4. duplicate the base image and move it to the top. Change it to overlay @ 100%. so you end up with
.
5. then sharpen the top layer.
