I was here a couple of months ago but I think I've really improved since then. I've been playing with filters, trying out some of the artsy painted looks that seem so popular and I've also been working on my colouring, trying to achieve balanced icons that aren't over-saturated or over-contrasted. And feedback at all would be appreciated :)
#1 I like the crop and the idea of this icon, but I would either go more overboard with the painted effect or tone it down. Now it has a very pixilated effect that could just be interpreted as bad quality. Maybe some blurring could also help? (I really have never worked with this effect so I don’t know how to make it look good :) ). To me it looks like he wears lipstick which I don’t think he does - maybe just play with color balance over his lips

Ahhh I like them. I'm a fan of close crops and simple-ish coloring so 1 and 3 REALLY caught my attention as being really great. I love both the crops, as well as the colorings. 2 is gorgeous, but I feel you didn't quite blend properly (the sharp edges on the left hand image) and I don't quite get what's going on. I think if you maybe started the images at the bottom to create more negative space at the top you might get a more interesting and technically "good" icon. Also, the images are really blurry. Maybe make them a bit bigger or sharpen a little? 4 is...I really like what you did with the colorings, but I can't quite distinguish the subject from the background and again, I can't really see what's going on. Make it more clear, maybe? Without knowing the original image I have a hard time concriting this icon. For 5, to be honest, the duplicated thing isn't really working for me (I think the main subject was duplicated, right? It could just be the image. IDEK.) I would say if you cut it down to just the one guy in the middle, you
