In someones community userinfo

Any textures I work on will be public, however my graphics will be friends-locked within a week. You must join to see that stuff. If I do work on textures, most of the pictures may be from fffound. I take no credit for these pictures and they belong to their respectful owners. If they do then don't use them. And just ( Read more... )

The words "create" or "work on" sound ridiculous when these are about ffffound textures. Cropping & zipping is a hard hard work lol

It's even harder then creating your own icons

i think it's silly to flock textures and icons in the first place... i mean, people will probably find them anyway :)

i'm not trying to be mean or disrespectful to anybody who does this, i'm just saying that it's not foolproof.

I don't mind the flocking. I mind the part about the ffffound textures.

because the rules on the website say you aren't alloud to use them. By using them you claim to be the owner of these images.

statement that the information in the notification is accurate, that the claim is not deceptive or false, that the person claiming the deletion of the alleged work is the holder of the copyright, or an authorized representative with the right to act on behalf of the exclusive right.

This.

I totally agree, this aversion towards anything coming from ffffound is ridiculous. We're using photos which were taken by someone else all the times and no one rags about that.
Of course it's not perfect behaviour, but this person doesn't make a big deal out of it or protects her 'work' with passwords.

Well, at least that person acknowledges the fact that the pictures at ffffound belong to someone... unlike most people who go about and crop whatever they find on the interwebz to little 100x100 squares and pass the results off as their very own super original textures.
What that person is doing is still kind of a paradox, but at least there's some progress there.

It still isn't right, but at least they don't ask for credit in caps like so many others or protect them like Fort Knox.

I've given up on this issue. It's the latest trend, and just because you rant about it here twice a week doensn't make it go away. Only the next trend will accomplish that.
