i wish someone had told me a year ago that i would lose this much family in a matter of months. i wouldn't do much differently, i think. but i wish i had been prepared.

we've become very distant despite the fact we've become roommates. he hasn't used my name (or any name i've ever gone by) in almost two months. i feel non-existant around him.

but i guess i was referring to not just him. him, my parents, nicole, my cats & rats, my cousins, etc. its just been a big year, i guess. things will be okay, it is just sort of sad sometimes.

i think its impossible to be prepared to lose family. you are an amazing and couragous person. you have many friends who love and care about you, and while we can't replace your family, we are here for you and we love you immensely. sometimes you have to create your own version of family.

I agree with monoandy about it being impossible to be prepared. just don't forget about your friends who love you very much. I should visit more often (but I forgot where in the glen you live, sorry!).
