so in this tutorial, im basically just teaching you the coloring. the effects are completely optional. This is what we're making:

Step 1: Base
Crop your image 100x100


Add New Adjustment Layer
Hue & Saturation
Saturation 20


Add New Adjustment Layer
Selective Color
Reds: -100 0 0 0
Cyans: -100 0 0 0
Blues: -100 0 0 0
Neutrals: 39 0 0 -16


Add New Adjustment Layer
Selective Color
Reds: -55 0 0 0
Cyans: 100 0 0 0
Blues: 100 0 0 0
Neutrals: 35 0 -10 -10


Add New Adjustment Layer
Color Balance
Midtones: 25 0 -15
Shadows: -10 0 15
Highlights: 0 0 -19


Add New Adjustment Layer
Selective Color
Reds: -45 0 0 0
Cyans: 100 0 0 0
Blues: 100 0 0 0
Neutrals: -15 0 0 -5


Print Screen your image (Ctrol-Alt-Shift-E).  Goto Filter>Gaussian Blur>Radius 1.7. Set to softlight 100%.


And that is how you get this coloring. Add a few embellishments/textures and viola! You are finished :)
