Just where where i click to get things, like how to i get to them.also, how do i sharpen, because i click on the sharpen tool, and and then i darg it over the picture a few times, and nothing happens. sorry, im so rubbish at things like this, so im a bit slow :) x

the selection part, OK. on the top left of your toolbar, you should have a rectangle with 'dashes/dots' on it. right click and use the ellipse selection tool. go to your image, click on the base and draw a circle around the part of the image you want. Edit > Copy. Click back on the top layer. Edit>Paste

to be honest , I'm still learning how to use everything. I've only REALLY been trying to make icons for a little while. The more I learn the more I share with everyone else who is still new to it all....

dont worry. believe it or not, i just started messing with icons this past week. that's actually how this LJ was born. I wanted to make sure I had all my techniques archived in case, well, i forgot how to make them LOL

right click the selection tool and choose the circle. then on your image, drag the tool to make a circle on it :)
