I followed _alostdream here..so thought I'd maybe give it a go. I've never done this before, so I'll probably have done something wrong. I'm applying from my personal journal, but my icon journal is azayka_ni. Anyway..

your animations, are good. I really like the third and last one. The first two don't tickle my fancy. I suggest fading in and out the motion blur that you applied to the first icon. It would go smoothly, because it looks a little choppy, the way you did it. I think the fourth one is nice too, I also suggest fading in and out on that one, it looks kind of awkward when it goes to an abrupt stop.

your cutouts are fine and passable by my standards. i do like the fourth cutout but i don't like the image that you used for that type of cutout. the font also looks weird, and like cdg said, you should anti-alias when using a bitmap font or else it'll be blurry.

i like your placement of your caption, and you have various styles when it comes to text placement. The text is kinda hard to read on the fourth one though ^-^;

I like your work. Your text placement and font choice is good. Also, you have your animations downpact, which is something that most people have problems with.

My only complaints are that I'm not a huge fan of that last cut-out (the text seems kinda funny) and you're journal does seem to follow one style. You might want to branch out just a little more with your styles.

Overall, good job :)
