Rating my icon journal :-)

hehe . . hi. *waves*. Sorry, i'm a little nervous. To be honest, i'm here because i think my work lacks something. But i'm not sure. I've been making icons for nearly a year now, and people tell me my icons are amazing,  but . . idk. I think its my program. I love psp9, but, i think i should get Photoshop soon . . . so

it is? darn . .i had no idea . . . ah well. In case you were curious on what they were . .. the first one is a vampire's face from BUFFY, the second one is Raven from TEEN TITANS when Slade's holding her and her evil marks are on her shoulders . . . the third one are these little creatures from an episode of TEEN TITANS . . and the last one is Blackfire from TEEN TITANS when she attacks her sister. Sorry about that, i'll get to work on making them more . . . understandable? i think thats the word . . .

actually, i'm a part of those tutorial communities. i post tutorials when i can :-) I actually did one for that terra icon you had in your 4 favorites. :-)

Animations: They do flow smoothly, but you need to be careful about not overdoing them. These could use alot of refining - try decorating your bases more and working on fitting animation with text. I actually really like #1. :-)

Cut-Outs: Low-quality and not very original. Try spicing up your bases more and than working on doing cut-outs. As a note, blinkies are generally frowned upon, as they aren't really attractive.

Text: You've definitely got color and style down, as well as brushes and textures, but you need to work on not overdoing it. This is an area where you just need refining. Be careful to look at what text you use and then try to integrate it better into your pictures.

Free Choice: I like these the best. They're attractive, fairly nicely textured and brushed, and are all around quite nice
