anyways some of you guys wanna know how to get this effect
EDIT: fixed missed step, sorry!
EDIT AGAIN: another method explained
so here are 2 diff. ways to achieve this effect. they give slightly different results.
i'm not the original maker of this but...it's been used before and done many different ways so...yea :)
Method 1
- you're just gonna get an image that has equal lighting in the whole face
- lighten it up, duplicate, set to screen. then duplicate, set to soft light.
- this lightened up version will be known as your base now.
- then duplicate the image, and set it to color dodge. then invert the image (image >> adjust >> invert).
- it will look weird. so, then blur it. blur and blur and blur until you like what you see. flatten the image.
- then take your base image and go to filter >> stylize >> find edges. play around with the settings. then go to brightness and contrast and make it brighter to get rid of all the weird stuff. you can also erase some of it if you want. you should get something like this:
paste that on the top and set the layer to something like linear burn and play around with the opacity.
- make a new layer, and fill it with something like E78000. then set that layer to softlight.
- then just take something like this
and put it on multiply.
result:
Method 2
- lighten it up (
? )
- this lightened up version will be known as your base now.
- then duplicate the image, and set it to color dodge. then invert the image (image >> adjust >> invert).
- it will look weird. so, then blur it. blur and blur and blur until you like what you see. flatten the image.
- desaturate the image
- take the base image, duplicate it, and set it to pin light 100% on the top
- then make a new layer, and fill it with like E78000 and set that layer to softlight.
- then just take something like this
and put it on multiply.
result:
again...I didn't come up with this and there are many different ways to get this effect.
