I was wondering how can I get the colouring on these icons by icons_are_hot

alexis one is mine. so, here you are:

black&white base;
new layer - #ff0000 on linea burn 100%;
duplicate your base, drag on top, set on saturation 100%;
new layer - #fff0bc on soft light 100% and duplicate it (two of that layer);
new layer - #ff0000 on lighten 100%;
new layer - shif+ctrl+alt+E, set on overlay;
duplicate your base, drag on top, set on soft light 100%;
then, i added three different textures: first on screen, second on exclusion, third on screen;
new layer - shif+ctrl+alt+E, set on pin light;
duplicate the last layer and set on color burn - opacity 40%, fill 30%;
duplicate this and change the mode on soft light;
last, i added a white circle.
