Tutorials Five and Six

I come bearing two tutorials.

Tutorial Five

Basic Information can be found at my third tutorial, here.

Start with your image, I got a picture of Hilary Duff from Hilary Drama, crop it to 100x100 pixels.

Duplicate your base image, set to "Screen" at 50% Opacity.

>>

Duplicate base image again, drag to top, and set to "Soft Light" at 100% Opacity.

>>

Duplicate that Soft Light Layer, leave at 100% Opacity, but desaturate. (For Photoshop Shift+Ctrl+U)

>>

Well now we're getting somewhere. Now for some color layers.

Make a new layer, fill with #b9feb0, set to "Color Burn" at 70% Opacity.

>>

Make another new layer, fill with #030f1c, set to "Exclusion" at 100% Opacity.

>>

Now take this texture
(Sorry, I don't know where it's from), and set to multiply.

>>

Sorta in the way isn't it? Let's fix that.

Rotate the texture 90degrees clockwise. (To the right).

>>

Now I suppose it looks fine, but I want the bigger end at the bottom. Flip the texture vertically, and there you have it..

>>

Now go back to the bottom, sharpen your base.

That's it.
Add brushes and text, and you're finished!

And your result should be something like mine:

Tutorial Six

Start with your image, I got a picture of Lindsay Lohan from Lindsay Drama, crop it to 100x100 pixels.

Duplicate your base, set to "Screen" at 100% Opacity.

>>

Duplicate the Screen layer, and leave it all as is. (You might need to change the opacity depending on the picture.)

>>

Duplicate the layer one more time, but set this layer to "Soft Light" at 50% Opacity.

>>

Now, fun with color.

Make a new layer, fill with #cffeff, set to "Color Burn".

>>

Make a new layer, fill with #031717, set to "Exclusion".

>>

Now take this texture
(Sorry, I don't know where it's from), and set to multiply.

>>

Now go back to the bottom, sharpen your base.

That's it.
Add brushes and text, and you're finished!

And your result should be something like mine:
