Vibrant colouring tutorial (PHOTOSHOP)

Hey guys this is my first ever icon tutorial:

Go from this:

to this:

// CONTAINS SELECTIVE COLOURING //

1. open image crop resize to 100x100 or 96x96...etc.

2. Duplicate base, sharpen set to screen 50% (may vary with images)
this is what i got:

3. New Adjustment layer (hue and saturation) Settings: Master saturation: +30
this is what i got:

4. New Fill Layer: flood fill layer #E41B75, set to Soft Light @ 40 %
this is what i got:

5. New Adjustment Layer (selective colour).
Settings:

y:+100
b:0

Yellows:
c:-100
m:0
y:+100
b:-60

cyans:
c:+100
m:0
y:-100
b:0

Blues:
c:+100
m:0
y:-100
b:0

Whites:
