Text Only Icons

hi

can someone point in the direction of some text only icon tutorials such as

to get the above effect...

flood the canvas with chosen colour(or use a texture if you like)
find appropriate font that is legible for the size you want to use it at
choose a contrasting colour that is not retarded (i.e. bright green text on a red background=bad)
find a brush stamp it on.

and I too add my own, why in the hell would you need a tutorial for a text-only icon?
