how to make these icons:





in a few simple steps.

well i was entering an icon contest for trio_stillness and this base was given:



i took this gradient made by gender and pasted it as a new layer on soft light


then i took this gradient also made by gender and pasted it as a new layer on screen


then i made a new layer and filled it with #FAE89E


to make this icon:

i set the layer to darken
to get this icon:

i set the layer to multiply
to get this icon:

i set the layer to soft light
and to get this icon:

i set the layer to burn
and now you have some very nice icons, i wasn't exactly sure if the gradients were by gender so correct me if i'm wrong. good luck with the tutorials, i'd love to see your results.
and lastly here is one of the icons with text on it
