HELP!! Big Problem with Photoshop Brushes. =(((

Hey, dear guys! =)
I'm new here and got a big problem with my Photoshop brushes.
Somebody recommended this group. Maybe somebody knows what to do. :)

The Problem:
If I use a soft brush or airbrush it's not soft und blurred how it has to be. Instead hard edges appear and the color gets blotchy.
Especially with dark colors I have this problem. Black is

change the Opacity percentage at the top ...

instead of 100% use lower percentages like 60% or 30% depending on what looks good to you. I don't understand the language used on your PS but changing the opacity should do the trick ...

Perhaps the hardness setting on the brush was changed? You want it to be 0% for a soft look.

I had a similar issue once, the only thing that solved it for me was completely uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop. It took me several tries to get the issue fixed.

I tried that. I also tried to install another version, CS5. Gut the problem remains the same with CS4 and CS5. :/
Maybe I should re-install my operating system?

have you tried installing different brushes??

I looked for good new airbrushes and soft brushes but couldn't find any as good as in PS.
Do you have and idea where I can find good ones? =)

I got soft rounded brushes from fox_orian or so it say in the name file, cuz I couldn't find them :S
