I've been making gif animations for awhile but I notice they are not quite as smooth as some other gif animations I have seen.

As the others have said, you need more frames. Unfortunately saving caps from online galleries doesn't work with animations because they aren't capped every second/frame.

How most people make animations is by downloading the scene/episode and then downloading programs like KMPlayer to cap them. More frames will also raise the file size of your gifs so watch for that when posting on Tumblr.
