Falling Snow Animation.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or tip on how to make falling snow for an icon.
This is what I came up with and i totally hate it!!!!

you just need to slow the frame rate down it will look more natural

change it to like 10-20 seconds see how that works

I personally think it looks fine

I would say just try slowing it down? I love the 2nd one, it looks great! May I ask what font you used for the snowflake in the background?

It was actually a custom shape that came with photoshop cs5

Thanks a million for this info had no clue there was a custom snowflake tool on cs5 I just assumed it was the same custom tools as always.

Now if I can just figure out how some of you ladies get such bright colors in your icons I would be set.

Aww thank you. These aren't the originals. LOL I had lil circles with like a 0% hardness as snow. I totally forgot when i re-uped em they would change. LOL

& I'm sure i will be making it a offer @ some point. I'm busting my butt making new christmas icons =)

how do u make the colors so bright? this is adorable! love the one ur using too with ur bb & the wings ^.^

For the Christmas icon i used #c60000 for the red & #118e00 for the green
On some icons I use a inner glow to just give it a little extra. I try to just stick to 2 or 3 colors so its not over whelming as well =)

& thank you for the compliments!! Default icon I got from the red bull commercial, LOL
